Bolting of Galvanized Steel


This chapter gives information on the characteristics, advantages and economics of bolted galvanized
structures and zinc coated fasteners, and offers comment on bolting procedures when these are influenced by the presence of zinc coatings. All information given is in accordance with current Australian Standards, and with the rationalised approach to the design, detailing and fabrication of structural connections developed by Australian Institute of Steel Construction.
